Assigned Portfolios (Evaluation Portfolio)

Assigned portfolios you create as part of a course requirement.

  • Your instructor may require you to create a portfolio for an assignment or ongoing coursework.
  • The portfolio may be graded.
  • Your instructor may specify what content must be included.
  • Sharing settings are often limited to you and your instructor.

Showcase Portfolios

Showcase portfolios are portfolios you create to highlight your work and experience beyond a single course.

  • You choose what content to include and how it is presented.
  • These portfolios are often used to showcase projects, skills, or achievements.
  • They can be shared with external audiences such as employers, internship coordinators, or graduate programs.
  • You control privacy and sharing settings.

Common Tasks Include:

  • Creating a new portfolio
  • Adding and editing pages
  • Uploading assignments or artifacts from Canvas
  • Sharing your portfolio with instructors or external audiences
