Queens student accounts remain active for 9 months after graduation. During that period you may continue to use your account, including email, as normal. However, after that time has ended your account will be disabled and you will no longer be able to use Queens email or other services. Below is a list of the most commonly used pieces of software and how that change affects access to them. Please contact the helpdesk at helpdesk@queens.edu or 704-337-2323 with any further questions.
You may continue to use your Queens email address until your account is disabled 9 months post-graduation. After that, you will no longer have access to your email. We recommend saving, forwarding, or exporting any emails you wish to retain.
Microsoft Office
If you have installed Microsoft Office using the free license available through Queens then your access will continue for a short time after your account is disabled, as the software checks for an active account periodically. When you are no longer eligible you will still be able to access and print your files. However, you will not be able to install new instances of Microsoft Office and you will not be able to create, save, or edit files.
MyAccount
After your Queens account is disabled you will no longer have access to MyAccount. If you are in need of a transcript information on how to obtain one can be found here.
Portfolium
Access to Portfolium continues indefinitely after graduation, however you must change your primary email address and password on your account to retain access after your Queens account is disabled. Instructions on changing your primary email address are located here and directions for changing your password are here.
RingCentral
After your Queens account is disabled you will no longer have access to RingCentral.
