YouTube - Creating Account & Uploading Videos – Queens University of Charlotte

Go To YouTube.com in any web browser (i.e. Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer).
If you already have a YouTube account, click the Sign In Button at the top Right.
- If you need to sign up for an account, click the Video Camera Icon at the top right and choose Upload Video
At this point you will need to sign in with a Gmail account you already have & move to step 5 or click Create Account to use your Queens or another email account of your choosing.
- Go through the setup process by entering all of your information
- Click next, verify security code sent to your email
- Enter in your phone # for 1 last verification. *Cannot use your RingCentral #. Must be a cell phone.
You will be taken to the YouTube Home screen
- Click the Video Camera Icon at the top right and choose Upload Video
A window opens where you can either drag and drop your video file onto it or click Select Files and choose your recording.
On the next window you will enter/configure a few pieces of information.
1. Enter the video title & description
2. Choose a thumbnail (available once video completes upload)
3. Playlists, you can create playlists for different classes or choose none.
4. Is this video made for kids? (required) Choose No
5. Click Next once video has completed uploading/processing.
Click Next on the Video Elements Screen.
On the Visibility Screen, choose Unlisted. This make the video accessible to only those you share the link with.
- Click Save.
- A window like the one below will pop up. You can now copy & share the link through email or my courses.
