- log into the mycourses course that you would like to add a video recording to
- Click Administration on the right-hand side of the page
- Click the Turn editing on button
- Under the desired week or class session, click the link to Add an activity or resource
- Select Kaltura Video Resource and click Add
- Enter a name for the video resource you are about to record
- Click the Video button
- Under Media Type, click Upload Media or Record From Webcam
- Click Add Media
- Click Webcam
- Select your Webcam (Microsoft LifeCam Studio) from the drop-down menu. If it is not already selected (Note: There must be a webcam present in the room in order to capture classroom lecture video. Webcams are currently installed in Sykes 220, 226, 320 and 326.)
- If prompted, click to allow Kaltura access to your Camera and Microphone
- Click the Record button when you are ready to record
- When you are finished recording click Stop
- Click Next
- Enter the title and optional description of the video (Title can be the same as above)
- Click Next
- Once video processing is complete, the video will be accessible for viewing (Note: processing time will depend upon the length of the recording.)
- Click Save and Return to Course or Save and Display to view the recording
