How to reset your web browser

Resetting your web browser may resolve issues with webpages not behaving properly (unable to load videos, click buttons, etc).

Internet Explorer

  1. Close all Internet Explorer windows. Select the Tools button in the upper right hand corner (looks like a gear), and then select Internet options.
  2. Select the Advanced tab, and then select Reset.
  3. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, select Reset.
  4. When Internet Explorer finishes applying default settings, select Close, and then select OK. Restart your PC to apply change.

Firefox:

  1. Click the menu buttonNew Fx Menu and then click helpHelp-29.
  2. From the Help menu choose Troubleshooting Information.
    If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  3. Click the Refresh Firefox button in the upper-right corner of the Troubleshooting Information page.

  4. To continue, click Refresh Firefox in the confirmation window that opens.
  5. Firefox will close to refresh itself. When finished, a window will list your imported information. Click Finish and Firefox will open.

Chrome:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and thenSettings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Show advanced settings.
  4. Under the section "Reset settings,” click Reset settings.
  5. In the box that appears, click Reset.

Safari:

  1. Click Safari in the upper right hand corner, next to the Apple menu
  2. Choose Preferences from the drop down menu
  3. Click on the privacy icon in the preferences window
  4. Click Remove All Website Data
  5. Click Remove Now
